Frank McAvennie is a huge fan of Brentford boss Thomas Frank but believes Julen Lopetegui will remain at West Ham for the foreseeable future.

The London club have experienced a difficult start to the 2024/25 campaign, winning just one of their first six Premier League matches, but McAvennie is sticking with the current manager.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, McAvennie said: “I was talking about him before because he’s been brilliant at Brentford. He’s done great, they’re well organised, play attractive football, but this new manager has only just come in.
“There was a chance to get him before this new manager, and him being in the Premier League is so much different because Lopetegui doesn’t know the Premier League as well.

Frank has worked wonders since arriving at the Gtech Community Stadium in 2018, claiming promotion to the Premier League and keeping them in the division ever since.
The Bees’ best finish in the Premier League came during the 2022/23 campaign, securing a ninth-place finish and just three points off the top-six spots.
