The Friedkin Group already have three-position plan in place at Everton for January

Everton could well be looking ahead to the January transfer window as their opportunity to finally break clear of the relegation battle.

It was a fairly productive summer window for Everton who were able to bring in a number of new faces to help bolster their squad.

However, Sean Dyche is struggling to discover much improvement on last season with the Toffees potentially finding themselves in the bottom three by the end of the weekend.

The Friedkin Group are close to taking over Everton which will provide some hope of new ownership ahead of the January window.

But the big changes at Goodison Park could well see Everton sack Sean Dyche following his poor start to the campaign on Merseyside.

And that may not be the only change with the Toffees already including a number of areas which they would like to address over the coming months.

Everton eye three transfer upgrades ahead of January

According to The Athletic, there are three key areas which the Toffees will be looking to upgrade over the coming months.

A new full-back is on their radar following the injury issues which they have experienced with the likes of Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson.

Vitaliy Mykolenko has been criticised heavily this season which could also suggest the Blues may well be looking for an upgrade at left-back.

But Everton are also said to be eyeing another central midfielder just months after Everton sold Amadou Onana to Aston Villa for around £50m.

And then the Toffees find themselves looking to bolster their options out wide with Jack Harrison failing to impress at Everton during his loan stint.

What Sean Dyche said about January transfers at Everton

There will be a lot resting on the potential takeover on Merseyside when it comes to January signings, however, Dyche has spoken about potential loan exits.
