The Celtic dressing room view on Adam Idah, wild Haaland message and Mourinho links as mega deal agreed

Adam Idah is FINALLY set to rejoin Celtic on a permanent deal after a summer long transfer chase.

Brendan Rodgers has never hidden his desire to bring the Norwich City striker back to Parkhead on a full-time basis after a hugely successful loan stint in Glasgow last season. He played a starring role in green and white as the Hoops lifted a league and cup double with the Republic of Ireland international stepping up with some big goals at key moments.

Idah is set to head for Scotland on Tuesday for a medical ahead of a return with Record Sport revealing that Celtic will pay around £8.5million up front to get their man in the door. A further £1milllion will be added on top in add-ons while a 15 per cent sell-on clause has also been included in the deal. Chris Sutton took to his social media accounts to give his verdict as the big news broke last night. He wrote on X: “Good move for all. Adam, Celtic and Norwich City..”

Rangers hero Ally McCoist also delivered his views live on air during the talkSPORT Breakfast show. He explained: “I think it is a good signing. I think he will score goals. It is a lot of money but at the same time you will recoup it if he scores goals and wins you the league and gets you back into Champions League football. That is the way you’ve got to look at it. I would maybe say slightly overpaid but good player and I

Fans are SPLIT on the big fee that Celtic will pay to the English Championship side to land the hitman. One punter wrote: “Good signing but we overpaid.” Another posted: “About time, didn’t expect £9.5mill spent though.” A further person said: “Overpaid by a ton but he’s needed.” While some believed it was too much money, that opinion wasn’t shared by all. One user said: “He’s proved himself already so he’s worth the money.” Another added: “Absolutely brilliant player.”

Meanwhile, Celtic target Dara O’Shea was on target for Burnley as they kicked off their English Championship campaign in style. The Clarets faced a tripped to fellow relegated outfit Luton Town for the league opener and put down a title statement to their league rivals as they ran out big 4-1 winners on the road.
