Sean Dyche has admitted he would like to add more Premier League-experienced players to his Everton ranks, leaving it up to Kevin Thelwell to give him what he wants.

Everton have been proactive in the summer transfer window thus far, bringing in Tim Iroegbunam, Iliman Ndiaye, Jake Oโ€™Brien, Jasper Lindstrom and Jack Harrison, the latter returning on loan.

As reported by Liverpool Echo (4 August), Dyche is now eager to add more experience to his side before the window closes on 30 August.

โ€œIf we can,โ€ he said. โ€œThese are good players who I believe will develop further but itโ€™s a different demand when the real stuff starts and you play in the Premier League.

โ€œThatโ€™s always the challenge for players when they havenโ€™t done it and then come in and they go: โ€˜Right, here we really goโ€™. The quicker we can get them involved, the quicker we can hit the ground running.โ€

Sean Dyche wants stability at Everton

When it comes to the transfer market, it feels like thereโ€™s something of an identity crisis ongoing at Goodison Park.

On one hand, trying to pick out future stars from overseas is a high-risk, high-reward situation. On the other, it can be easy to slip back into something more comfortable.

With that being said, it does feel like the Toffees are starting to lean into the โ€œsign experienceโ€ mentality. Just recently, theyโ€™ve shown interest in trying to sign Tammy Abraham.

Up and down the Premier League, youโ€™ll find experienced names who arenโ€™t getting consistent time in the first team.

Thereโ€™s no guarantee that Everton will serve as an alluring move to them, but itโ€™s wise for Dyche to get people in who really understand the assignment.

From there, itโ€™s all about building momentum towards breaking away from the bottom third of the division.
