Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl refused to be drawn on rumours that Scott Wright is on the verge of joining the club.
Rangers forward Wright has been heavily linked with a move to the Owls as Philippe Clement continues his summer clearout. It’s believed the English Championship outfit do hold an interest in the 26-year-old but Rohl offered a coy response when asked directly about the ex-Aberdeen star and whether an announcement was imminent.
He told BBC’s Football Heaven show: “I will not speak about names because it makes no sense. This market goes so quick. We have an idea what we want to have, I have an idea of how I want to play in the new season.
We know what we have to improve when we look back from last season and then it’s about finding the right pieces to make our squad stronger and stronger because we are very ambitious for the new season.”
