The Blues are back in action on Saturday for their second pre-season friendly of the summer against the League Two outfit
Hello and welcome to the Liverpool Echo’s live coverage of Everton’s pre-season friendly at Salford City.
The Blues will take to the field for the second time this summer on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.. They were last in action last Friday, as two late goals from Youssef Chermiti salvaged a 3-3 draw at Sligo Rovers.
Saturday’s opposition should provide a tougher test than the Irish outfit and it will be intriguing to see what shape Everton are in after a week of heavy training under Dyche. The infamous ‘Gaffer’s Day’ was scheduled to take place in the build-up to this weekend’s game, so the Blues may not be at full pelt for the fixture.
Nevertheless, there will a number of players looking to make their case to the manager with the season edging closer, as Chermiti did last week. Supporters will no doubt be keen to catch another glimpse of new transfers Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam too.
Joe Thomas and Connor O’Neil will be in attendance at the Peninsula Stadium in Salford to bring live coverage, updates and reaction from the friendly
