One fan is said to have suffering serious head injuries following the Championship clash which saw Queens Park Rangers come out 2-0 winners.
Police covering the game discovered the injured 52 year old man in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, at around 9:50pm.
A Facebook post was written, saying: “Vee Rourke 12 m Did anyone go to Luton game last night? If so did you see the incident outside the ground approximately 9:40/9:50pm? My husband has been seriously injured and in a coma, we currently don’t know how this is going to go but If anybody witnessed the incident or has footage please let me know or call crime stoppers.”
He was rushed to hospital with a serious head injury and remains in a life-threatening condition.
His family have been informed and there have been no arrests made so far.
The Met believe the man was assaulted but are not sure whether he was caught up in “disorder” after the game.
It got heated at Loftus Road as supporters complained about bottles being chucked at rival fans as they left the ground.
One tweeted: “If I’d known the rivalry between QPR and Luton was that intense I would not have gone last night.
“Unbelievable scenes after the game. Shocking stuff. Like being in an 80s football hooliganism film.”
