Rangers transfer latest as Cerny rejects La Liga move, Jordan twist and trio could leave

Philippe Clement is hopeful of having signings in before opening day Premiership clash with Hearts.

There are two names in particular that would seem likely candidates for that and winger  is the most probable of the two. Gers’ swoop for the left-footed right winger has been green-lit by his club Wolfsburg after it was reported they were in advanced talks with him yesterday.

And reports from his homeland suggest that the Ibrox side have beaten La Liga outfit Las Palmas to the signing of the 26-year-old. It is expected a loan deal will be struck for a man who cost the Bundesliga side £8million when signing from FC Twente just a year ago.

Rangers also hope to add Joan Jordan on loan. They failed with an initial loan bid for the Sevilla defensive midfileder as they were not offering to cover enough of his wages. However, when it emerged the La Liga side were willing to let him go for 40 per cent of his salary being paid, it seemed a goer.

But another twist has seen claims from Spain that the La Liga side will also insists on an obligation to buy for three and five million euros. That would seem steep for a 30-year-old, especially given the financial situation at , and could put them off.

Players need to be moved out and could be one of the first. He is locked in talks for a second time with Aris Limassol after initially flying out to Cyprus before returning but pulling out of the squad to face Birmingham
