Rangers keen on signing 21 y/o superstar who Kane thinks is “unbelievable…

John Gilligan has promised Philippe Clementthat he WILL have transfer funds to spend in January.

And the interim Rangers chairman insists the board are fully behind the manager as they look to chase down Celtic. Clement oversaw a massive overhaul at Ibrox during the summer with 11 new faces checking into Govan. But the Belgian’s rebuild was disrupted by a shortage of cash as the Light Blues were forced to offload high-earners before bringing players in.

Long-serving stars such as Connor Goldson, Borna Barisic and Ryan Jack were all offloaded as Clement acted ruthlessly to breathe fresh life into his squad. And while the likes of Connor Barron, Jefte and Hamza Igamane have made promising starts, Clement will be bankrolled with more money during the winter window.Gilligan told Sky Sports: “We’re trying to bring stability to the player trading model to try to improve it and I think the manager we’ve got is the man to do that. There will be [money for Clement to spend in January]. I think with any manager at any football club, if you can sell and make a profit then it helps with the buying. It doesn’t depend on it but it certainly adds to it and helps with the whole opportunity of improving.
