Rangers bus will eat Celtic dust if Clement refuses to park it as Hotline predicts demolition derby

Midfield maestro Matt may be heading out the door but Celtic fans are convinced the Hoops will still lead a life O’Riley in Sunday’s first Old Firm clash of the season.

A 3-0 thumping of St Mirren saw Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate on the scoresheet and the £30m-Brighton bound playmaker barely missed. Twenty-four hours earlier Rangers posted notice that they’re up for the derby battle as they produced six of the best to thrash Ross County. But Bluenoses on the Hotline were still demanding better. With five days of transfer business still to be conducted before kick off at Parkhead it’s gearing up to be quite a week.

And Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton, said: “Yet again Celtic looked like they had 13 players on the park with their possession. With the abundance of talent Celtic have in midfield O’Riley wasn’t missed as I’m convinced Hatate would be a bigger loss. And with Clement saying he won’t park the bus next week Celtic’s speed merchants will have a field day.”

Kenny Wilson, Moffat, said; “Another dominant performance from Celtic and another clean sheet. Every player was up to form but I thought McGregor and Hatate were outstanding scoring two great goals and totally dominating the midfield. Hopefully a big week in the transfer market with O’Riley moving to Brighton

Gers’ Hampden hammering of the Staggies was as positive a warm-up for Sunday’s first Old Firm clash of the season as Philippe Clement could have wished for. However John Davidson, Kirkintilloch, said: “It’s really good to see Rangers turn in a display but one swallow doesn’t make a summer. Rangers need to get players in by the end of the window and the deadwood out.”
