Striker Omar Marmoush has spoken about his decision to remain at Eintracht Frankfurt amid summer interest from Nottingham Forest.
The Reds were keen to bolster their forward ranks before the window closed on August 30 as they sought competition and cover for Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi. Marmoush was among the names on their radar, with two bids said to have been made for the 25-year-old.
The feeling I have here, especially with the coach, is indescribable,” he told German newspaper Bild (via Sport Witness). “That just inspired me to stay here and concentrate on the task.”
Bild have blasted the €30m (£25m) offer made by the Reds as “a joke”. They add that Marmoush “continues to dream” of making the switch to the Premier League in the future and Frankfurt “will not block” a move further down the line.
