Leeds have just sealed a move that could solve their biggest problem in 2025…

The Whites had to sell players in order to balance the books and while they might not have expected to lose Rutter, Gray, Summerville or even Glen Kamara, the club raked in more than £100m in player sales.

Of course, Leeds also allowed five to leave on loan including Jack Harrison, Sonny Perkins and Rasmus Kristensen while a whole plethora of stars left Elland Road on a free transfer at the end of their contracts.

But one player has proved intriguing. Kristoffer Klaesson joined Leeds in the summer of 2021, the young goalkeeper managed just three appearances for The Whites, two of which came under boss Daniel Farke.

His debut came under Jesse Marsch, replacing Illan Meslier in the 3-2 comeback in the Premier League at Molineux against Wolves. But during 2023-24, he played two more times with Meslier suspended.

After appearances against Birmingham in the Championship and then Peterborough in The FA Cup, Klaesson left in the summer to join Polish first-tier side Rakow – but instantly, saw his contract ripped up.

That is because Klaesson was spotted in McDonald’s shortly after joining. Rakow felt it was disrespectful after Klaesson had reported for pre-season overweight and decided to terminate the newbie’s contract.

Since then, Klaesson has been without a club but only until this week when the goalkeeper took to his Instagram to confirm he had joined top-tier Danish side AGF Aarhus on a contract until June 2025.
