KICKOFF FEVER: New Season Begins With a Bang…

Sean Dyche has bolstered his options in almost every area of the pitch ahead of the new season, but there is a belief around supporters that the Toffees could still do with another winger.

Reports have suggested Everton have shown an interest in the Colombian international and there is a belief he could be available for a cheaper-than-expected fee as he enters the final year of his contract [July, page 57].The Blues aren’t the only team interested in the Championship star, with Ligue 1 side Rennes also keen on his signature, but a new update from Fabrizio Romano may have given the Toffees hope a deal could still be struck.Despite direct talks yesterday, Asprilla and his agent Jonathan Herrera have just returned to London. More discussions to follow for Watford talent’s future.With no deal agreed between Asprilla and Rennes, Everton and Thelwell have been given a window of opportunity to swoop in and secure the winger’s signature before he completes a move away from Vicarage Road.
