Key Leicester City pair look set for time out after sustaining costly injuries on international duty.

Leicester City will be hoping for an upturn in fortunes following the international break after going into it on a rather sour note.

Sorry, We Need To Talk About David Coote

The Foxes lost out 3-0 away to Manchester United, leaving many fans questioning whether Steve Cooper was the right man to comfortably lead the side towards safety in the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Performances away from Leicestershire for the players haven’t looked to be much improved either, with Wout Faes notably struggling for the Belgian national team, whilst fellow defender Jannik Vestergaard was also given a poor verdict for his recent showing in the Nations League with Denmark.

The international break has been bleak for performances, and to make matters worse, Leicester City will now have to deal with injuries sustained by two key players in the side.

Leicester City attackers Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu sustain injuries on international duty

The Foxes have somewhat struggled at times and have looked consistent in the final third, and that challenge of making a difference up top in the Premier League will be made much more difficult with their recent injury blow.

Per the Ghana FA, Leicester City attacking pair Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu both sustained an injury for the nation.

Striker Ayew’s looks to be more serious though, with him having to undergo an MRI scan on the injury, which revealed ‘significant issues with his knee’.
