When announced Hampden would be their temporary home or the start of the season, John Bennett promised supporters he would give them a “fuller, personal update by the end of July.”
The way things have gone since then, fans will be gagging to hear it. Given that deadline he set himself we should be hearing from the chairman next week at the latest and it comes off the back of a friendly performance in Birmingham which prompted boos from the travelling supporters and a furious reaction online.The supremo was of course talking about the fiasco with and being displaced to Hampden, a situation which the fan base are still awaiting more answers on and they will, rightly, be looking for him to deliver on his promise of addressing that
But it’s far from the only issue at the club just now as that reaction in the Midlands shows. Things aren’t much better on the park and it brings up concerns for the season ahead and how the recruitment is being conducted, especially after manager Philippe Clement’s admission that things aren’t as he expected when he was brought in.
