Joan Jordan won’t be joining Rangers after the Ibrox club pulled the plug in their attempts to land the Sevilla playmaker.
The experienced 30-year-old midfielder emerged as a loan target for the Light Blues as seeks to bolster his options in the middle of the park. It’s believed Gers had an initial loan offer knocked back by the La Liga giants over the proposed wage structure.
Reports in Spain had suggested that Sevilla were willing to let the out-of-favour Catalanian move to Glasgow if Gers covered 60 per cent of his salary. However, it was claimed that the former Espanyol, Valladolid and Eibar had reservations about continuing his career in Scotland.
