Michigan football transfer portal tracker: Here are players on the move after choppy 2024

A running tally of the Michigan football players who have entered the transfer portal after the 2024 regular season. Year in school is as of this season.

This story will be updated as players continue to make offseason decisions.

K Adam Samaha, sophomore
An Ypsilanti native and Ann Arbor Huron graduate, Adam Samaha is on the move after two years. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound sophomore did not participate in a game in 2024, he appeared in just one game as a freshman in 2023 when he made an extra point vs. Indiana (Oct. 14). Samaha, who was twice named to the Free Press dream team, was rated the No. 6 kicker in the nation by 247Sports composite rankings and was invited to the U.S. Army Bowl, where he drilled a 49-yard field goal.

LB Micah Pollard, junior
Pollard battled injuries much of 2024 and is reportedly set to leave Ann Arbor after three years in the program. The 6-foot-3, 235 pound linebacker joined the Wolverines as a three-star prospect out of Jacksonville (Bartram Trail) and played immediately upon arriving. Pollard recorded eight tackles in his freshman year in 2022, then had seven tackles as a sophomore in 2023, but played in just two games this past season and did not record a statistic. Pollard was the No. 101 overall prospect in Florida and the No. 90 linebacker in his class per the 247 Sports composite rankings.

QB Jayden Denegal, redshirt sophomore
Denegal, 6 feet 5 and 235 pounds, played in seven games during three years at Michigan but none this season despite three different changes at the position. He appeared in six games for the 2023 national champions, completing 4 of 5 passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. Denegal was a three-star prospect from Apple Valley, California, as the No. 28 quarterback in the country according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He threw for more than 4,600 yards and 69 touchdowns during his high school career. He has two years of eligibility remaining. He tweeted his departure just past midnight Monday, the first day of the portal window opening.

OL Andrew Gentry, redshirt sophomore
He started two games at right tackle for Michigan this season after being ranked the No. 88 overall recruit in the 2020 class, according to 247 Sports composite rankings, from Littleton, Colorado. He took a two-year religious mission and did not join the program until 2022. He tweeted his intention to join the transfer portal on the first day it opened, and has two years of eligibility remaining.
