FANS REJOICE: Rangers Completes Contract Extension of Key Centre-Back’s Contract…

A quiet afternoon for the big stopper and could do nothing with the comedy of errors own goal scored by Robin Propper.

James Tavernier – 6

Motherwell’s equaliser came from a hopeful cross going nowhere that John Souttar and Propper were unlucky with, however, the skipper should have got tighter and stopped it at source – a regular issue throughout his light blues career.

Was too passive in defence.

Gradually improving in possession and having more of an influence in attack.

Lovely ball for Mohamed Diomande’s knockdown that gave Cyriel Dessers the chance to open the scoring.

Has made the left-back slot his own and doubts about his ability have all but disappeared, had a quieter second-half though.

Robin Propper – 7

Solid in his duels and aerially – which is why he was bought – hugely unlucky to score an own goal as he tried to nick the ball out for a corner.

An assured display on his debut.

John Souttar – 6

Should benefit from having Propper alongside him and was helpless at Motherwell’s equaliser as he stretched to clear the cross.

Rarely has a player bought domestically made such an immediate impact. Looks like he has been in Rangers midfield for years.

Forming a solid partnership with Diomande.

Mohamed Diomande – 7

Was given some close attention by Motherwell’s midfield and could have moved the ball quicker at times but continues to offer a threat from his box-to-box role.
