Everton takeover latest as consortium ‘to bid’ in coming weeks after Freidkin Group collapse

A consortium lead by former LA Dodgers general manager Kevin Malone will reportedly make another bid for in the coming weeks as the search for a new owner goes on. Following the collapse of a fourth deal in two years – it is a vital time for the club.

Malone’s group, backed by American investment firms, was one of many rivalling The Friedkin Group last month before they confirmed last week that a period of exclusivity had ended. “The Friedkin Group will not be progressing with a purchase of the club,” a statement read on Friday morning.


Both Blue Heaven Holdings and The Friedkin Group entered discussions in good faith to explore whether a sale could be agreed.The parties agree it is in both their interests for Everton to explore alternative options.
