Everton have found their answer to Premier League survival in Iliman Ndiaye

Iliman Ndiaye is Sean Dyche’s answer to Premier League survival for Everton this season.

The ex-Sheffield United forward was brought in over the summer for a fee worth around £16.9million and has starred for the Toffees since.

Alongside Dwight McNeil, the Senegal international has been one of the main reasons behind Everton’s recent success with his goal opening up the scoring on Saturday (19 October) for the Merseyside outfit’s 2-0 win over Ipswich.

Ndiaye has been in stellar form throughout the season thus far with the attacker finding himself among the top performers at the club.

He may only have two goals to his name across all competitions but his hard work on the ball isn’t the only area he’s shined in this season.

Iliman Ndiaye is the Everton star man

In the Toffees’ game against Ipswich, Ndiaye had two shots on target and maintained a pass accuracy of 78 per cent (Fotmob).

Ndiaye’s summer arrival was arguably the most exciting of those that Dyche brought in.

Last term, it was evident that the Toffees needed attacking reinforcement and the Senegal international has been exactly that.

He’s outperformed the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jack Harrison this season and without the 24-year-old in their squad, the Toffees would be in nowhere near as good form as they are now.

Everton’s last four games have got them eight points from a possible 12 but without Ndiaye leading their attacking ranks, it’s unlikely they’d have half that amount.

The attacker has been a stellar addition to Dyche’s squad and will likely only continue improving as the term goes on.

It’s still early in the season of course but if things keep going as they are for Ndiaye and Everton, the Senegal international could find himself pivotal to Everton’s Premier League survival, which, in his first season in the top flight, would be quite an achievement.
