Celtic’s US Tour has been a huge success this summer as the club promoted its image on and off the field.
Huge wins against DC United and Chelsea complimented Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic also beating Man City as preparations for the new season probably went better than what the Hoops supporters expected.
Whilst a win against the MLS side was probably expected, to score four goals against Pep Guardiola and Enzo Maresca’s teams was a nice surprise for the Celtic supporters who were, in truth, expecting a much tougher test from the Premier League clubs.
And as the fans laud the players for the results and performances, Luis Palma has hailed one of his Celtic teammates for the amount of work he has put into training over the two-week tour.
The Honduran has been left seriously impressed with Celtic teammate, Matt O’Riley, and how he is handling talk about his future and has praised O’Riley for not allowing the speculation to distract him in training.
Palma said [Daily Record], “Matt is a phenomenal player. It’s a pleasure to play alongside him as he shows his character in every game. He is amazing.
“There is a lot of talk about him but he does not let it affect him. He is very motivated to play with Celtic and he works hard every day.
“We don’t know what will happen but I know he’s happy to be here and hopefully he can stay for this season.
where if teams match the Parkhead club’s valuation of the Denmark international then they will allow him to talk to them.
That is probably the main reason why O’Riley is not distracted. He seems to trust the club to do the right thing and as long as he lets his football do the talking on the pitch then I’m sure the offer that Celtic want won’t be too far away as teams queue up to court the international midfielder
