Am a real winner Celtics coach…

Arne Engels is having something of a dream football week, and it must feel like quite a whirlwind for the 20-year-old.Amidst all this, Engels has been speaking to the Belgian media. They wanted him to introduce himself and what he can offer, and the Celtic player certainly showed that he’s confident in his own abilities.

Gazet van Antwerpen quote him as saying: “I am a player who can bring energy to the Red Devils. And the will to win. I am a real winner, every day, even during games during training. In addition, I have nice passing and a good kicking technique, which can be useful in set pieces, if necessary. I am also very versatile: I do my thing everywhere, but I prefer to play in midfield. Well, I am mainly here to learn. I want to deliver quality. To show that I am worth being here.”

Engels described his move to Celtic as a ‘very nice step’, and went on to say: “It will be nice to compete for the title. This is a step forward. In Scotland you don’t play against Janneke and Mieke, right? And there is the Champions League. With a nice, new format for me: eight top matches, nice.”

The youngster also said he may lose some anonymity once he becomes a Belgium international, having enjoyed going to restaurants as an unknown.

He’ll notice that in Glasgow too!
