“All hell would break loose” – Pundit Makes Celtic Fan Prediction Amid Transfer Silence

Celtic fans are becoming growingly frustrated as their club’s lack of activity in the transfer market continues.

Patience is a virtue, but the new league season begins this weekend, and Brendan squad is weaker than when 2023/24 ended. Aside from links to Northampton midfielder , there hasn’t been much to report on regarding incomings to the east end of Glasgow

Instead, talk has been rife about outgoings. Reo Hatate was recently touted for a switch to Leicester meanwhile chatter over a Parkhead exit for Matt O’Riley has refused to die down.

Southampton remain in discussions with Celtic over a move for the attacking midfielder who was sensational last term.

It remains to be seen whether he will move on to pastures new this summer, but pundit Alan Rough reckons if he does, the Hoops support would be sickened.

Speaking on, Rough explained that if O’Riley left tomorrow, due to Celtic’s lack of signings, the fans would go into meltdown.

“If O’Riley was to move, I think all hell would break loose if there’s nothing coming in”, he said.

“If tomorrow I picked up a paper tomorrow and he was sold to Atalanta, I think Celtic supporters would be particularly anxious.

“I think Celtic supporters will be particularly anxious as the weeks go on.”

There is just over a month left of the summer transfer window. Celtic need to get a move on if they are to give the manager a squad that can maintain domestic dominance and compete in Europe.

If Josh Sargent exits the club, they cannot afford to lose Adam Idah, and I think Norwich would bring him back and hope that he can replicate the outstanding form he’s shown at Celtic.”

Adam Idah has found his form with the Premiership champions, and it was really thanks to his huge goals that Celtic lifted the league title on Saturday.

It’s believed that Celtic would have to fork out a fee upwards of £6 million for the player, with no option to buy included in the loan agreement.
