To me, this sounds like the Celtic fans are in for a feast of exciting and attacking football this season.

For much of last season, we saw the team struggle to reach the intense heights they reached under Ange Postecoglou.

Granted injury problems and adapting to Rodgers’ style played a factor in that but after witnessing what the team delivered against the likes of Man City and Chelsea on the US Tour, this could be a return to the type of football that was seen in Rodgers’ Invincibles season.

Holding on to the likes of Matt O’Riley will be crucial in that but from listening to Johnston and Rodgers this week, the mood in the Celtic camp seems confident as the countdown to kick-off continues today.
