Johannes Hoff Thorup has described Adam Idah as a valuable player.
There are two contrasting ways to take that comment- the striker could score 20 goals to help Norwich achieve promotion to the EPL or is about to be sold to help finance the transfer plans of the new manager.
With four years left to run on his contract Idah can’t say a word about his future but it is a big contrast to January when most Norwich fans were happy to see the striker move out on loan with no fanfare for his arrival at Celtic.
Nine important goals including a cup final winner tend to change opinions, both clubs seem keen to have the Irishman on board with Norwich holding the upper hand.
Last night Idah was back as a Norwich player, getting the first 33 minutes of the pre-season defeat away to Club Bruges as speculation flies around about his future.
The head coach reflects on today’s pre-season game against Club Brugge ?
Good to see him back. He’s been a part of the group now for a little bit more than a week. I’ve had a couple of sessions with the boys and important for us to get him started.
Important for him to get in and have some minutes again and I think we could see what he can support this team with. So it’s nice to have him back on the pitch and I think he will be a valuable player for us.
On Saturday Norwich take on Standard Liege with team news and substitutions bound to be of interest for Celtic fans with Kyogo Furuhashi the only recognised striker with the squad in the USA.
