Celtic are set to increase their offer to Norwich City for loan star Adam Idah, sources have told Football Insider.
It has been widely reported that the Hoops have seen an initial offer of around £4million rejected by the Championship club.
However, sources say there is a “real willingness” from both Celtic and Idah, 23, to complete the deal and Brendan Rodgers’ side are now expected to continue negotiations.
A bid of around £6million is likely to be enough to secure a permanent move for the Republic of Ireland international.
Idah joined Celtic on loan in January and enjoyed a successful six-month spell at Parkhead, with sources telling Football Insider that he is “very keen” to return to Glasgow permanently.
Celtic could seal Idah deal with £6m bid
He made 19 appearances during his loan, starting in seven of those outings.
The forward notched nine goals and two assists in that time – including the winning goal late on against Rangers in May’s Scottish Cup final.
Idah is under contract at Norwich until June 2028 after signing a bumper new deal in February 2023.
