Dan Friedkin could break the bank to hire Sean Dyche replacement at Everton
Sean Dyche’s stock with the Everton supporters is on the wane as evidenced by the goalless draw against 10-man Brentford last weekend.
There has been pressure on the boss’ shoulders for some time now with plenty of discussions over his future at the club and if he can continue there.
With Dan Friedkin’s takeover edging closer, the Toffees will be hopeful that there will soon be change at Goodison Park to improve their fortunes.
One of those changes, you assume, will at some point come it the dugout with many doubting Dyche can be the man to take the club to the next level.
Edin Terzic could be the right man for Everton
One name that has been linked with the job is Edin Terzic, though the club apparently have doubts about whether they have the budget to get him (TEAMtalk, 27 November).
What is for sure, is Terzic could be a great fit for the Toffees and be a real statement in terms of their ambition for where they want to progress as a club once the takeover has been completed.
The German is an ambitious coach who led Dortmund to last season’s Champions League final. While replicating his success by leading the Toffees to European football’s showpiece fixture may be a way off, having a coach who knows how to breed success would surely be a positive.
Although Dyche is holding onto his job for the time being, it would be no surprise to see a new owner keen to completely change things at Goodison Park after what has been a really difficult period for the club.
Whilst it could be an ambitious appointment, it would also be a big change for the Toffees and supporters of the club would surely feel as though they could look to the future with more optimism than they have done for many years.
