It is suggested that if Dyche’s contract is extended past its end in the summer, some of Everton’s best players will want to move on, instead.
Writing in his latest blog post on 3 November, The Esk shared his thoughts on what could happen if big changes are not made.
“Not only does maintaining Dyche’s position reduce the chances of staying in the division, it lowers the base from which a new footballing management team entering the club in the summer starts from,” he wrote.
We are losing players through the running down of contracts, there is every prospect that our best players, those with talent, those still to mature and develop fully will at the completion of another Dyche season want to ply their trade elsewhere.”
