Everton to have new manager in place as Sean Dyche update emerges

Everton will have a new manager in place next season with Sean Dyche to be shown the door, according to Graeme Bailey.

The TBR journalist told Everton News on 30 October that the new man in charge is unlikely to offer Ashley Young or Seamus Coleman new deals at the club.

Both their contracts run out at the end of the season and it’s expected to be their last one on Merseyside.

Bailey said: “Obviously Kevin Thelwell is running things upstairs at the moment.

“I think Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman will go at the end of the season. They’ll see it then. There’s going to be a new manager in place. It depends who comes in, but I’d be surprised if they came in and offered them a new deal.”

The Friedkin Group may give Sean Dyche some breathing room at Everton

Dyche has demonstrated resilience by navigating the Toffees through tumultuous times, including points deductions and relegation battles, which showcases his capability to manage under pressure.

This certainly buys him some credit in the bank and the Friedkin Group will take note of this before making any harsh decision.

His contract expiring soon might also make it financially and contractually logical to assess his performance through the season’s end, potentially without the need for hefty compensation.

Moreover, with the club’s new ownership, there’s an opportunity for a fresh start without the immediate upheaval of managerial change, allowing for a smoother transition of ownership visions into club strategy.

As for Young and Coleman, their departure at the end of the season makes sense as they are at stages where their contributions might wane against the need for younger, fresher legs to align with the club’s long-term objectives.

It remains to be seen how things transpire but these are exciting times for the Goodison Park faithful.
