Dominic Calvert-Lewin refuses Everton contract extension amid confirmed transfer exit update..

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has “refused” efforts from Everton to sign him to a new contract, according to The Mirror.

David Anderson reported via the paper’s website on 26 October that the striker wants to keep his options open as his current deal counts down within its final year.

But Sean Dyche delivered an update on the situation the same day, confirming there are no plans to allow a transfer exit for the 27-year-old in January, in order to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer.

The manager said: “To be giving players away at any cost because you need some money, fortunately we’ve never been pushed that far and that’s still the same now

“We can still make decisions on situations and I can’t see anything other than him being here certainly until the end of his contract and then hopefully beyond.”
