Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has named his starting 11 for the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final clash against Falkirk at Celtic Park this afternoon.
Coming off the back of an incredible 5-1 win against Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League midweek, the Bhoys have been outstanding since the beginning of pre-season.
Convincing 4-0 and 3-0 wins against Kilmarnock and Rangers were clear signs that domestically Rodgers has truly got this Celtic side playing at a very high level so early in the season.
The Irishman has made a number of wholesale changes, providing an opportunity for several players to prove themselves who haven’t had the chance until now this season.
With Kasper Schmeichel retaining his place in goal, Rodgers has changed the rest of the back four, with Anthony Ralston at right-back, Stephen Welsh partnering Auston Trusty at centre-back, and Alex Valle making his debut at left-back.
Callum McGregor and Reo Hatatecontinue in midfield, while Arne Engels is given a rest and replaced by Paulo Bernardo, with the Portuguese midfielder having been a real star in the Glasgow derby victory.
The front line has been completely changed, with James Forrest on the right, Adam Idah up top, and Luis Palma on the left.
Kickoff for today’s game is 3pm, and it will be broadcast live on Premier Sports
