The Reds did bring Carlos Miguel to the club from Corinthians but another was sought with Matt Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimosleaving the City Ground.
It’s been claimed that Forest were considering the re-signing of Brice Sambabut that never came to fruition.
Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher was also wanted by Forest but again, the club didn’t push to pay the valuation placed on his head.
Now, it’s emerged that Forest were looking at another goalkeeper ahead of the deadline.
According to The Athletic, Forest weren’t quite as proactive as some other clubs in the quest to sign a new stopper.
They have claimed, however, that Forest did ask about Ramsdale with a few days left until the deadline – but he’d already committed to signing for Southampton for £25 million.
The player departed Arsenal after losing his place to David Raya and he will now go in search of first-team football.
It would seem as though Forest are content with Miguel providing competition for Matz Sels at least until January.
Forest came up against Sam Johnstone on Saturday after he signed for Wolves and he’s another who has been linked with the Reds.
