Liam Cooper to Hull City transfer state of play as ex-Leeds United man set for Elland Road reunion

Defender Liam Cooper could be in line to make a dramatic return to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon after striking a deal to join his former club Hull City.

Cooper, who left Leeds United earlier this summer after talks over a new deal failed to come to anything, will see his return to the MKM Stadium confirmed in the next 24 hours.

The 32-year-old made 284 appearances for the Whites during a 10-year stint in West Yorkshire after arriving from Chesterfield but will be at his former club when go in search of their first win under Tim Walter, and he could be in the squad at Elland Road.
