Leeds trying to sign Jonathan Rowe could be really good news for Nottingham Forest

Whilst he struggled with regular game time last term, he still managed to net nine times whilst laying on three assists playing off the right – his unfavoured role.

Gnonto is much more effective operating as a left-winger, so Forest could unlock his lofty potential by deploying him there.

Nuno Espirito Santo is still keen to add further reinforcements this summer transfer window as he looks to assemble a squad capable of pushing up into mid-table.

He won’t want to be in another relegation battle this term, so the need for one or two more quality additions is apparent.

Though, that said, are set to miss out on a rumoured target who they tried to sign earlier in the window.

The East Midlanders were keen to bring him to the City Ground after his impressive performances at the base of midfield for Boca and Argentina’s youth teams.

But, according to he’s now set to snub a move to the Premier League in favour of Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah.

The transfer specialist adds that Fernandez is set to sign a five-year deal after a clause in his contract was activated.

Onto the next one for Forest…

Evidently, Nottingham Forest are still in the market for a holding midfielder and so Coventry City’s Ben Sheaf should be considered.

The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Championship over the last few seasons and looks more than ready to make the jump to the top-flight.

Sheaf is of a similar mould to Declan Rice and his driving runs would lend themself well to Nuno’s traditional style.
