In good news for Forest, however, it’s claimed that the club are keen to recoup funds and would like Milenkovic off the wage bill.
At 26-years-old the defender would be a nice fit in the Forest dressing room and he’d have the potential to star for the club for many years.
Forest need a partner for Murillo at the back and Milenkovic looks like the type of player who could slot right in.
He’s played 264 times for Fiorentina and helped them to two Conference League finals in successive seasons.

With quality over quantity the order of the day for Forest this summer, Milenkovic feels like he would be a very useful signing.
Espirito Santo will want to shore up his rearguard and he will want a centre-back with vast experience adding to his squad.
Milenkovic is in his prime yet already has lots of football to his name – making 57 appearances for Serbia too.
In the grand scheme of things, £20 million doesn’t feel like a lot and hopefully Forest can still get this deal over the line.

After the resounding win over League Two opposition yesterday, Espirito Santo was quizzed on the players currently on the fringe of the squad.
He told “They are our players. We are taking care of them, because they are part of the club. We will embrace them and prepare them, then we will make decisions.“We still have a long way to go. We have to take a good look at all of the aspects and decide what is best for them and their careers. We are really careful with those situations.”
