New Orleans Saints trade cornerback Marshon Lattimore to Washington Commanders
Shift4 Transaction Alert: Saints receive Washington’s third, fourth, and sixth-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft
New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has traded cornerback Marshon Lattimore and a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Washington Commanders in exchange for Washington’s third, fourth, and sixth-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft (note, sixth round pick was originally New Orleans’ and was traded to Washington for DT John Ridgeway III).
Lattimore, the former Associated Press NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, started all seven games he played in during the 2024 season and posted 30 stops (22 solo) with two pass breakups. In his career, he has started all 97 regular season games he has appeared in, totaling 405 tackles (326 solo), 15 interceptions (tied for eighth in club record books), five forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and 88 pass breakups.
Marshon Lattimore Traded to Commanders; Saints Get 3rd-Round 2025 NFL Draft Pick
After some speculation that he might be traded this past offseason, New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore is officially on the move.
The Washington Commanders announced they acquired Lattimore on Tuesday along with a fifth-round pick, in exchange for a third-round pick, a fourth-round pick and a sixth-round pick.
Through seven games this season, Lattimore has 30 total tackles and two passes defended. He suffered a hamstring injury in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos and then reaggravated the injury in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers, forcing him to exit that game.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler reported on March 3 that “several teams” believed Lattimore was available in the trade market. Lattimore later said during mandatory minicamp in June that he was committed to New Orleans, but the team ultimately opted to deal him away a few months later.
